 The 2nd Rhode Island Regiment camped and fought at the siege of
Boston
 and at Quebec in 1775.
 1776: at New York and Trenton
 1777: at Princeton, Morristown, Fort Mercer, Fort Mifflin and
 Valley Forge
 1778: at Monmouth and Rhode Island (Newport) and camps at
Bristol
 and Warren, RI
 1779: at Wickford, RI and Morristown, NJ
 1780: at Springfield, NJ and Rhode Island Village, NY

 In 1781, the 1st and 2nd Regiments combined and Col. Christopher

 Greene and others were lost at the massacre at Croton. The Rhode

 Islanders marched to Yorktown, VA where the Rhode Island Light
 Infantry led the redoubt assault. In 1782, they served in
Philadelphia
 and West Point. In 1783, they marched again to Forts Herkimer
and
 Oswego. The war ended and in 1784, the Rhode Island Regiment
